Solomon was wise but he had his distractions from God as he grew older by the different religions of his wives; our friends in class expressed creatively what their distractions are ...

 



Passover event on 1 April

We tried to re-create the passover celebraction and better understood its significance.  Thanks very much to wife Maria who spared no effort in preparing as authentic a passover meal as possible..  We got the inspiration from the teachers of Church of the Holy Spirit.  Thanks very much and God Blessed the teachers at the Church of the Holy Spirit.

Transfiguration - what it means to me..

•Dazzling  white cloud, beloved son, plucked up courage, son of man, brought back to life from the dead – Michelle Woon

•Mid day sun, dazzling, overawed, a voice , do not be afraid – Matthew

•Maggie – destined to die in Jerusalem, appearance, overawed, descended, plucked up courage (Sonia)

•Lionel – John the Baptist , Elijah, Jeremiah, messiah, son of the living god, destined to die in Jerusalem, dazzling white, Moses and Elijah appeared and began talking to Jesus, Overawed by what he saw, dazzling cloud, a voice – Lionel

These kids are always similing whenever i buy newspaper from each of them.  They are at a traffic junction in South Jakarta 7 days a week (Sundays included) from 6 pm to 11 pm.  They said they are still going to school.  The girl is seven years old... and the brother is always watching over her.  In the picture, they just got some clothes and toys which Maria my wife packed for them.

Ketrina - I will sacrifice my time to hold a fund-raising event in a flea market, I will sacrifice my money into helping others raise money for food and housing

Maggie - a. i don't know..good things?  b. Like TV, chewing gum. c. watch less TV

Mitchell - Lent means fasting and abstinence and no meat

Matthew -play less game, eat less junk food 

Raphael - a. Lent means fasting and abstinence. b. I even noe wat to write ... {teacher note - the rest are too offensive to blog...}

Kayne - Lent means fasting and abstinence

Michelle L - a. good things that we can't imagine. b. we can fast. c. I will help the less fortunate. Don't listen to R&B songs, POP or rock everyday (I listen to it 1 hr 30 min a day) try to cut down.

Michelle W - It is a time of fasting, praying and sacrificing your time. We should also chnage our bad habits.

Lionel - a. Lent means fasting to me. b. We can conserve energy and do not let people burn fossil fuel to create more carbon dioxide to make the earth warmer and will have global warming to harm the earth. c. study and work hard and don't play too much.

Kyle - stop eating animals like cow, pork and so on for a year.

 

 

 

GOD'S CREATION
God created the world in 7 days, making the last day Sabbath day. He created all the greenery we see everyday, beautiful flowers, birds that chirp, animals of different sizes and last of all, us, humans. Adam and Eve were the first man and woman on the earth. Although Adam and Eve went against him and he took away eternal life, he still provided us with what we have now. He sent his son down to die for our sins, this is one of the greatest sacrifice he has made for us but people took it for granted. What we have right now, right here, is all because of god's grace (:
